It is with great sadness that the family of Ronald Paul Patterson announces his untimely death on May 28th, 2021 in Stilwell, OK. Ronald was born to Paul and Bonita (Holloway) on July 26th, 1950 in Stilwell, OK and attended Stillwell schools until graduating in 1968. After studying at NSU he proudly worked until the age of 69 when he retired.
Ronald is survived by his beloved daughter Kristena Smith (Brett) and sons Christopher (Penny) and Rodney (Jennifer); siblings Gloria Eubanks (Larry), Robert (Dianne), Janet Kester (Larry), and Patti Means (Joe); treasured grandchildren Piper and Asher, Courtney and Rodney Allan Jr. He is further survived by former wife and cherished friend Nancy, numerous nieces and nephews that knew him as Uncle Bub, extended family, and dear friends at the Woodland Hills Church of Christ in Tulsa where he was invariably the first to arrive and always ready to give the kids a bear hug. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Ronald had a passion for OU football and fast cars, was an avid reader, coin collector, leather worker, puzzle solver, weather watcher, and would often claim he was stubborn enough to outlive us all.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on June 6th, 2021 at Roberts Reed Culver Funeral Home in Stilwell, OK. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on June 7th, 2021 at the Church of Christ in Stilwell, OK.
A special thank you to the staff of Stilwell Nursing Home for their care and friendship during his last year.
