Patricia "Pat" (Klusmeyer) Patterson
September 25, 1950 ~ June 9, 2016

Pat Patterson, age 65, resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 in Oklahoma City. 

A memorial ceremony will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Trout Funeral Home & Crematory. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory. 

Pat was born on September 25, 1950 to Calvin Klusmeyer and Melva Belt Klusmeyer in Anadarko, OK.

She was raised in the Kay county area, graduating from Tonkawa High School in 1968. Jimmie Earl Patterson became her husband on May 31, 1969 in Tonkawa, OK. They made their home in Ponca City where she was a devoted housewife and mother until she and Jim purchased and operated the Heartland Foods grocery store in Newkirk from 1995 through 2011. Pat was a very loving, caring and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to travel, especially somewhere warm to soak up the sun on the beach. She enjoyed being outdoors gardening in her flowerbeds or watching the grandkids play in the pool. She was always thinking of others and putting their needs above her own, she was small in stature but big in heart. 

Survivors include her beloved husband of 47 years Jim Patterson of the home, cherished children: Brad Patterson of Englewood, CO, Nicole Johnston and husband Dustin of Moore, OK, and Lacy Arnold and husband Mike of Ponca City, OK; mother Melva Klusmeyer of Ponca City, siblings: Barbara Amos and husband Carl of Norman, OK, Jerry Klusmeyer and wife Lois of Cogar, OK, Mary Rowe and husband Bruce of Ponca City; grandchildren: Haley, Shelby and Mathew. She was preceded in death by her father Calvin.
