Jack Lee Patrick was born June 12, 1939 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Gladys and Loyd Patrick. He passed away February 24, 2017 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years, 8 months and 12 days.
Jack moved with his family to Ashland, KS in the 9th grade and graduated in 1958. He was married to Nina Ruth Harvey on June 12, 1958. After their marriage they moved to Manhattan, Kansas where Jack attended Kansas State University graduating in 1963 with a bachelors degree in Business Administration. After graduation from Kansas State he moved to Tulsa where he met and was later married to Velma Lue Haney on May 22, 1964. Jack began working for Public Service of Oklahoma and worked out of the Tulsa, Clinton, Elk City and Hollis offices. He continued his career with PSO for over 30 years where he worked his way up to district manager. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club, Jaycees and the Elk City Chamber of Commerce. Jack enjoyed fishing, watching his grandchildren in their sporting events and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys and Loyd Patrick, 2 brothers, Loyd Jr. and Pete Patrick, and his sister, Eileen Parker.
He is survived by his 5 children, Stan Patrick and wife, Nell, Moorpark, CA, Rod Patrick and wife, Kay, Oceanside, CA, Jacque McKeever, Elk City, OK, Darrin Patrick and wife, Amy, Elk City, OK and Kevin Patrick and wife, Jennifer, Plainview, TX; 7 grandchildren, Jonathan Patrick, Oxnard, CA, Jennifer Huen and husband, Kristopher, Oxnard, CA, Katelyn Chavez and husband, Cesar, Elk City, OK, Brooke Patrick, Sidney Patrick, both of Elk City, OK, Addison Patrick and Logan Patrick, Plainview, TX; 2 great grandchildren, Kailani and Kalea Huen, Oxnard, CA and a host of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Elk City Schools Athletic Department or Meals on Wheels.
