Partch, Laura, 98, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012 in Norman, Oklahoma. She was born May 27, 1914 in New Buffalo, Michigan to Henry and Gertrude (Waterson) Renno. Laura was raised in Chicago, Illinois attending the public schools there graduating from Lindbloom High School in 1932. Immediately after graduation she entered the workforce as a professional secretary in the insurance industry.
She was united in marriage to Mr. Fred Partch on April 9, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois. Laura and Fred soon afterwards moved to California where they made their home raising their only daughter, Linda. Laura retired in 1954 to become a fulltime mom and wife. Laura remained in California during her retirement years enjoying gardening and adoring her two grandchildren, Kara and Justin. She moved to Norman in 2008 to be close to her daughter, Linda.
Laura is survived by her daughter, Linda Chiodo and her husband John of Norman; and two grandchildren, Kara Chiodo of Norman and Justin Chiodo and his wife, Tori of Manhattan Beach, CA. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred Partch in 1985; and one sister, Alma Koehler.
Private services will be held for Laura.
Arrangements for Laura and her family were placed in the care of the Vice Family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
