Mr. Charles D. Parsons, 80, of Bartlesville, died in Bartlesville on July 17, 2014.
Charles was born in Valley View, Texas, on December 17, 1933, to Thomas Eli and Mable Florene (Ledford) Parsons. He grew up and received his education in Carlsbad, New Mexico, and graduated high school there. He received a Bachelors Degree from New Mexico State University in 1957 and a Masters Degree in Operational Research Engineering from Oklahoma State University in 1966.
Charles was employed with Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville in various capacities from 1957 until his retirement in 1993. He was active in civic affairs and was a member of the Civitan Club and was an avid travel photographer.
Charles and Jean were married in Bartlesville on June 25, 1961, and made their home in Bartlesville since that time. They had a cabin at Grand Lake and enjoyed boating, snow skiing and ballroom dancing. They were also avid travelers and had traveled all over Europe, Northern Africa, Asia and South America. Jean died on November 24, 2014.
Charles and Jean - are survived by many wonderful friends and medical caregivers.
No formal services are planned. Interment of Charles and Jean will be in the Fairview Cemetery at Coffeyville, Kansas, following cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Jeanalee and Charles Parsons Foundation, P.O. Box 2306, Bartlesville, OK 74005.

discretionary, welcome center, transportation equipment, sound and lighting
equipment, security system, remodeling and upgrades, refrigerated storage
container. Its purpose is capital gain on investments. Last year, it made 18
grants. It is a private foundation located in Bartlesville, OK.
