James Lynn Parson age 40, of Newcastle, formerly of Norman, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019 at St. Anthony's South in Oklahoma City. James was born March 10, 1978, in Amarillo, Texas. His parents were Sydney James Parson and Sherry Lynn (Courtney). James grew up in Amarillo and attended school there. Throughout his life, James worked at various jobs. He enjoyed trying his hands at doing different things and traveling. During some of his traveling adventures he and his friend Tom have been on the Jerry Springer show and on Judge Hatchet show. He was a gifted poet, a talented artist and he loved to fish.
James moved to Norman in 2010 and for two years he worked as a valet parking attendant at Pepe Delgado's restaurant. For the past two years he worked as a truck driver, driving a truck over the road for CRST.
James is survived by:
Parents,
Sherry and Michael Hay of Newcastle,
Two sisters,
Lynda Rene Carillo of Pauls Valley, OK,
Rena Caldwell and husband Herman of Bentonville, AR.
Three nephews,
Sheldon, Robert and Lawrence,
Two nieces,
McKenzie and Jordan.
His adopted brother and longtime friend,
Tom McLain of OKC.
Memorial services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church in Newcastle.
Local arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle.
