James Kevin Parrish

James Kevin Parrish
April 25, 1961 ~ February 27, 2022

He attended grade school at Prairie Queen Elementary in Oklahoma City, where he loved baseball. Jimmy attended high school in Billings and graduated from Billings High School in 1979. During high school he was a member of the FFA and played for Billings Bulldog football, basketball, and baseball teams. During his basketball career the Bulldogs went 0-62. He was an all-state football player.

Upon graduation, he was able to walk on the Oklahoma State Football team.

Jimmy went to a bowling school to become a professional bowler. He won several 300 rings. He once bowled an 822 scratch series. During his bowling career he was employed by Charles Machine Works, Inc.

After working for CMW, he attended a Truck Driver School in Drumright, Oklahoma and headed for the open road. During his truck driver days, he prided himself in being a safe driver. He had over 2 million safe driving miles all over the United States of America. He once saved a guy’s life by administering first aide, roadside. One of his most notable deliveries was when he delivered the large pop bottle to Pop’s in Arcadia, Oklahoma. It took him all day to deliver from downtown Oklahoma City to its current location because of the unusual load size.

Being the middle child of seven he was often left behind in stores. He walked five miles home once in Oklahoma City.

Jimmy’s favorite past time was taking off on his Harley-Davidson with his brothers and friends. He is OG P.F.E. #4.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 4th at 10:30 at the First Christian Church, Perry, Oklahoma. Rev. Josh Bell will officiate. A private interment of ashes will be held at a later date.
