A loving family man and local business owner Damon Arthur Parrett of Dewey, OK recently passed away in his childhood home.
Born in Bartlesville OK on December 29, 1947, to Jeanie Davidson (Parrett) and Don Parrett (of Dewey). He graduated from High School in Dewey, OK in 1966 and went on to graduate from The University of Tulsa with a double major in Art and Industrial Arts.
Damon had a rich life filled with love for his family and for his favorite hobbies. He loved to design and build things. He loved flying and building planes. He built bows and with his expert instruction led his wife on to win the state championship in archery. He was an avid gun enthusiast and gunsmith and he loved to ride his motorcycles. He and his wife Margaret started and ran the Sunrise Donut Shop for 30+ years.
He is survived by his 4 children Anne, Dustin, Noel & Stephen, his grandchildren: Andrew & Charlotte, Macy, Tyler, Damon Ray, Maggie, Ellen, Andrew, Morgan, Abigail, Jonnie, Bailey, Karl & his great grandchild Lily, as well as his sibling Andrew Parrett (of Dewey). He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Randy and Danny Parrett.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, July 7th, at the Dewey First Christian Church, with Pastor Casey Parham officiating.
