Larry Dean Parker
September 19, 1951 ~ November 18, 2020

Larry Dean Parker, age 69, an Atoka, OK resident, was born on September 19, 1951, to Marshall and Marie (John) Parker, at Talihina, OK. Larry passed away on November 18, 2020, in Baylor hospital. He graduated from Wapanucka High School in 1969. He attended Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology in Okmulgee to study drafting. He was very creative and an amazing artist and craftsman.

He worked many years in Dallas before returning to Atoka. Since his youth, Larry was a member of the Cane Hill Methodist Church in Bentley. He grew up in the Boggy Depot State park where his grandfather was the park ranger. He enjoyed drawing, whittling, and talking to his friends.

He was preceded in death by Winona Hedgecock, the love of his life on September 19, 2020; his parents, grandparents, Ed John, Moses and Harriet Williams, aunts, Virginia Williams, Mildred Williams, uncles, Cecil , Parker, Monte Parker, and Sylvester John, cousin, Michael Williams.

He is survived by a special aunt, Geraldine White of Norman, cousins, Connie, Terri, Debbie, Kay, and Sandy; Pam Sefcik, and children, Patricia Sharp of Missouri , Robert Sefcik, Felix Sefcik, of Atoka,and many cousins; Sharon and husband CR Rowton, Jerry and Johnny Williams, Ronnie Scott and siblings, and ones he dearly cherished, and considered his family, Randall Millard, of the home, Carrie Millard, Durant, Brian Hedgecock, and fiancé, Lisa, of Midwest City, and Crystal Hedgecock.

He was loved and gave love unconditionally. He worked hard and was very proud of his Choctaw heritage. He was a pleasure to be around with his wit and personality. Larry will be sorely missed by all!

A memorial service is planned at a later date.
