Diana Lynn Parker

Diana Lynn Parker
January 6, 1953 ~ May 20, 2020

A Memorial Celebration of Life for Diana Lynn Parker will be held at a later date when it is safer for a large group gathering due to the coronavirus. The service will be at Faith Church.

Diana passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020, in Oklahoma City. The youngest of six children, Diana was born to Willard and Mable Parker January 6, 1953, in Pueblo, Colorado. She grew up near Enid, graduating from Garber High School.

Following graduation and a life threatening car accident, she went to Business School and then to work for Homer Miller Company as Administrative Assistant. She later moved to Colorado for a career in Promotional Advertising to explore sales in a new territory, finding many lifetime friends. She served as an officer in the Pueblo Herb Society.

In the '90's, she returned to Oklahoma City to spend time with her aging parents...her most treasured years. She continued her career with American Diversity where her circle of special friends grew.

She never married, but her heart of love left an impact on every child her life touched, including nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

She loved to talk about her heritage and family reunions where she would visit, visit, visit. She served on the board of the Central Oklahoma Chapter of American Historical Society of Germans from Russia, an organization of her mother's ancestry. She spent a lot of time with her Dad and Mom caring for them and taking them to family gatherings, remaining close to aunts, uncles and cousins.

Her faith strongly influenced her life keeping her active in church, most currently in Faith Church where she had many supportive friends. She had a special heart for the "Feeding 5000" backpack project.

Diana has now been reunited with her parents; her sister, Billie Haragan and two infant nieces.

Diana leaves loving memories to be cherished by her brother Richard Parker and Lynda Parker, Enid; sisters: Anna Thompson and husband Gus, Norman; Velma Gould, Moore; and Sharon Olmstead and husband Mark, Derby, Kansas; and many nieces, nephews, "grand" nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be given to Faith Church designating "Feeding 5000", 800 South Portland, Ave., Oklahoma City; or Sisters of Mercy, Mercy Health Center. 4300 W. Memorial Road, OKC 73120.
