Brenda Lee (Foley) Parker

July 24, 1949 ~ April 22, 2021

Private family services for Brenda Lee Parker, 71, of Marietta will be scheduled at a later date.

Born July 24, 1949 in Paris, Texas, the daughter of Herman and Inez Lovelady Foley, she died Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Mercy Hospital Ardmore.

Brenda had been an area resident for the past 38 years, moving from the Denison, Texas area in 1983. She married Hugh Rennie Traweek in Denison in 1967. She worked as a travel agent for many years. Until recently, she worked for the Southern Oklahoma Nutrition Center. Brenda loved to travel, which is why she enjoyed being a travel agent. She enjoyed cooking and catering for the travel events, playing dominos at the Southern Oklahoma Nutrition Center, and tending to her rose gardens. Brenda had a "green thumb." Although she had many interests, her favorite thing was spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Hugh Russell Traweek.

Survivors include a son, Darren Traweek of Denison; daughter, Catrina Nanney of Marietta; ex-son-in-law, Lennie Chadwick of Healdton; ex-daughter-in-law, Teresa Traweek of Denison; brothers, Dewey Foley and wife Patty of Fort Worth, Texas and Louie Foley and wife Rachel of Louisiana; grandchildren, Drew Nanney and girlfriend Tamara Wynette and Jayda Mertz; nephew, Stephen Foley of Pennsylvania; and nieces, Angelia Franklin of Fort Worth and Bren Foley, Heidi Foley, and Priscilla Bellelo, all of Louisiana.
