George Douglas Panter, 69, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born December 30, 1947 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Gene Panter and Mary Marie (Gaines) Panter.
He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. George was the President and CEO of Assembled Products Corp. in Rogers.
He was an active, faithful member of the Rogers Christian Church serving in leadership roles for many years. George was an amazing man, loved and respected by all who knew him. He was an exceptional husband, adoring and strong father, gentle and loving grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Nancy Johnson.
George is survived by his wife, Alice Guess Panter; son, Chad Panter and wife, Kristina of Broken Arrow, OK; daughter, Tracy McCormick and husband, John of Rogers; two brothers, Jim Panter and wife, Sue of Stilwell, OK, Dan Panter and wife, Kim of Houston, TX; sister, Jane Rhoads and husband, Dennis of Stilwell, OK; 12 grandchildren and many extended family and dear friends.
Funeral services were Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Rogers Christian Church with Pastor Zach Davis officiating. Burial was at Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors provided.
