Joretta LeBleu Busby Paige was born to Melvin and Yvonne Royse LeBleu, July 7, 1935, in El Reno. She lived in El Reno until 1944 when the family moved to Chickasha on a farm northwest of town.
She graduated from Meridian High School in 1953. She worked at the ASC office and the Arkla Gas Company, Chickasha.
Joretta married Bennie J. Busby on December 19, 1954. To this union three children were born, Sharon, Karen and Shane Busby.
She also lived in Oklahoma City area from 1963-1969 before moving to Blanchard.Sharon and Karen graduated from Blanchard, and Shane from Tuttle.
She also worked for Dr. A.A. Cooperman, Oklahoma City, for 13 years.
In 1978 Joretta married Howard Iven Paige and moved away for 10 years to Carlsbad, NM and to Erick, Ok. before her husband retired and they moved back to Blanchard, to the same house where she raised her children. She loved her community.
Joretta was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Blanchard.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Paige of the home; daughter, Karen Gentry and husband John, Chickasha; son, Shane Busby and wife Cheryl of Milton, Fl; step-son, Dennis Paige and wife Stacie of Stratford, Ok; grandchildren, Brooke Gentry, Chickasha, Randi Chapman, Chickasha, Molly Busby and Cody Busby, Milton, Fl.; step-grandchildren, Laci Clary and husband Jay, Sulphur, Ok, Dusty Paige and wife Shelly, Moore, Trisha Taylor, Ada, Ok, Chelsea Holland, Okla. City; step-great grandchildren, Chett Taylor and Brittany Taylor, Sulphur, Aubri Paige Clary, Sulphur; brothers, Bobby LeBleu of Rangley, CO., Jerry LeBleu of Rangley, CO., Royse LeBleu of Blanchard; sister, Pat Harmon and husband David, Chickasha; nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
Those preceding her in death: Father, Melvin LeBleu, 1956, mother, Yvonne LeBleu, 2004, daughter Sharon Chapman, 2008, step grandson Derik Taylor, 2009, brother, Paul Wayne and wife Geneva Watkins LeBleu, 1961.
Memorial service was held at 10 a.m., Monday, First United Methodist Church, Blanchard with Reverend Mark Watson officiating.
