Betty Jean (Morris) Page

January 3, 1942 ~ April 29, 2019

Betty Jean Page, age 77, passed away peacefully April 29, 2019 from cancer. She was born January 3, 1942 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas to William Benton and Nina Mae (Smallen) Morris.

Betty was known for not holding back her opinions and a knack for telling it like it is. She always told you the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. Everyone always knew where you stood with her. As her three daughters, we know she loved us.

Until her health condition made it impossible, Betty was an avid reader, loved sewing and crocheting, and was always working a crossword or jigsaw puzzle. She had a great love and appreciation for native Americans and especially her own Cherokee tribe.

She will be missed and is survived by her brother Lonnie (Sandy) Morris, and brother-in-law Larry (Peggy) Page, sister-in-laws Raye Morris, Carolyn (Wayne) Geiger and Elizabeth (Donnie) Pierson. Daughters: Cheryl (Mark) Ramirez, Leslie (Ralph) Colantuono, Penny (David) Bolin. Grandchildren: Mark, Jr. (Mollie), Salvatore, Jr. (Stacy), Anthony (Amber), Ashlie and Brian, step grandson, Austin. Great- Grandchildren: James and Ella, Salvatore III and Sophia, Aaron and Autumn. She was known as grandma by Christyanna, Sara and Mason Allen.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Morris and eldest granddaughter, Nina Marie Ramirez.

All whom loved her dearly will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, grace (when pertinent) and undying love and caring for them.

Betty was cremated and wanted no funeral service other than a burial ceremony that will take place in June with family. Thank you to everyone who cared for Mom and her daughters and sons-in-law during this time.
