The memorial service honoring the life of Theotis Ray Pace, 44, of Oklahoma City will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 28, 2019 in the Waukomis United Methodist Church with Rev. Kris Mayberry officiating. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Theo was born July 3, 1975 to Frank Pace and Rose Shannon in Enid, OK and passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, in Oklahoma City, OK after a short battle with cancer.
He was raised and educated in Enid graduating from Enid High School, where he was a stand-out athlete and in his senior year was given the Rex Martin award for outstanding athletic leadership as well as player of the year. he continued his career playing college football at NWOSU. He completed his college education at Oklahoma State University graduating with a degree in graphic arts. With his passion for graphic arts He started, owned and operated Rose Petal creations and free-lance design. He was a graphic designer and held many prestigious positions including those at J.L. Marketing, Enid News and Eagle - Eagle Marketing, KFOR of Oklahoma City, and Express Employment Professionals Headquarters. He was an active member of the charity organization J.P.S.O. of Enid and also donated his artistic talents to many local organizations including churches and schools.
He saw life through the eyes of an artist; he was a quiet man who treasured time with family and friends. One of the things that he valued most was the simplicity of living a life with those he loved. He was a rare combination of someone who treasured love of life but also had a firm understanding of what was important while always remaining humble. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need and will be missed by all.
He is survived in legacy by his son, Adonnys Pace, daughters Sabrielle and Zoe Pace and then the mother of his children, Chrystal Pace, and his sisters Deodis Shannon , Carmencita Henderson, Aquanita McLaurin, Velma Ward, and brother Coy Ward. He is survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, grandparents, and numerous other family members and friends.
