James Owens, 48 year old Mooreland resident died, Tuesday May 27, 2025 in Mooreland. His family will have a Celebration of his life at a later date.
James Michael Owens was born on November 11, 1976 in Provo, Utah to Rose (Riley) Moore and L. Jim Owens. James grew up in Mapleton, Utah where he attended school. James moved to Mooreland, he became an integral part of the family business Moore's Roofing. James was united in marriage to Kerry Ann Dillard on December 28, 2007 in Fort Supply, where they made their first home before moving to Mooreland. While working he became the lead Duro Last Specialist roofing installer. He was such an integral part of Moore's Roofing and he was extremely proud of changes in the roofing industry that he had made in the last thirty years. He was a hard worker and very good at his job.
James enjoyed the outdoors, camping and just being in nature and enjoying the Oklahoma skies. He looked forward to spending time with family and friends. His children and grandchildren were a very important part of his life. His wife Kerry Ann was the true love of his life as he was hers.
James is survived by his loving wife, Kerry Ann Owens of the home; parents, Bruce and Rose Moore; sons: Zeke Ryanlee Owens, James Lee Borth and wife Dana daughters: Meridian Rosemary Owens and Hayden Willmeth, Faith Harmony Owens and Collier Alexander, Tiffany Darden and husband Tony, Kerry Beth Bunting and husband Tim; 11 grandchildren: Zariyah, Jeremy Jr., Di'Anna, Kaylee, Xachary, Westin, Brayleigh, Hazen, Katana, Harmony, Astryd and one grandson on the way; brothers, David Owens and wife Jodie; Christopher Owens and wife Shawna; Robert Owens; and Jeremiah Moore and wife Danielle; sisters, Angela Lance and husband Scott; Jessica Moore and Paula; Lyndsey Nichols and husband Luke; sister-in-law, Tina Coleman and family; numerous cousins; aunts; uncles; nieces; and nephews; many work acquaintances, and friends.
They will miss his presence; he was a kind person with a gentle soul.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his father, Jim Owens, cousins, Michael Creviston, and Kimberly Snow, and aunt, LaRae Wilson.
