Memorial services for Gwenlyn Owens will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Baker officiating. Gwenlyn Owens, age 61, of Boswell, OK died on Saturday, April 18, 2009 in Hugo, Oklahoma.

Gwenlyn Owens was born March 5, 1948 in Leonard, Texas the daughter of Elijah Pendergrass and Irene (Blackwell) Owens. She enjoyed reading and loved to travel.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister: Mary Tiffee.

Gwenlyn is survived by her son: Larry Dean Carroll of Dallas, Texas; one daughter: Misty Hill of Boswell, OK; one brother: Hollis Dean Owens of Lancaster, Texas; one sister: Betty Maples of Maybank, Texas; two grandchildren: Amber Lynn Walker of Boswell, OK, and Ryan Sterling Cunningham of Little Rock, Arkansas.
