Perry Owens, age 50, of Purcell, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014.
Clifford Perry Owens was born November 7, 1963 in Wynnewood, OK. His parents were Clifford Owens, Jr. and Marie Annette Owens. Perry grew up in Purcell and attended Purcell Schools, graduating in 1982. He attended the University of Oklahoma shortly before transferring to the OSU Institute of Technology in Okmulgee. Perry graduated with an Associate’s in Applied Science Degree in Automotive Service Technology.
For many years, Perry worked in the Purcell, Pauls Valley and OKC areas as a mechanic. He enjoyed researching a wide variety of history subjects and accrued a large collection of historical books to aid in his studies. Perry was an avid supporter of 2nd Amendment rights and in his spare time, collected and researched firearms. His greatest love more recently has been his grandchildren. They were the apple of his eye and the absolute delight in his life. He will be dearly missed!
He was preceded in death by: His Father, Clifford Owens Jr. His Grandparents, Fred and Ruby Kennedy and Clifford and Iva Owens.
Perry leaves behind: His mother, Annette Goad and husband Tom of Purcell; His son, Cliff “P.J.” Owens and wife Brenna of OKC; His daughter, Jennifer Bradley of Purcell; His sister, Dr. Lisa Owens and husband Dr. Craig Anderson of Tulsa; His uncles John Kennedy and wife Barbara of Lexington; and Jerry Owens of Pauls Valley; His aunt Mary Chronister of Wynnewood and 3 grandchildren, Ariana, Grayson and Kynzlie; As well as many close friends and a host of other family.
Memorial services will be held at Wilson-Little on Saturday March, 8th at 2:00P.M.
