Christine (Martin) Owens

July 2, 1934 ~ April 26, 2012

FORT WORTH, TX - The funeral for Christine Martin Owens, 77, will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Cathedral. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery . Visitation is 6:30-8 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.

Christine was born July 2, 1934, in Crescent , Okla., to Lillian and Chester Martin and passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012.

Her careers included hospitals and doctor's office administration. She was active in Officers' Wives Club activities during her husband's Air Force career. Christine enjoyed outdoor activities, including gardening, fishing, camping and boating. Her Catholic faith took her to Medjugorje, a small town located in Western Bosnia, where many apparitions of the Blessed Mother were seen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel T. Owens, in 2005, and grandson, Brian Mason, in 1988.

Survivors: daughter, Susan Mason and husband, Bruce, of Enid, Okla.; son, John Hahn, of McKinney; sister, Marilyn Urban, of Plano; brothers, David Martin, of Noble, Okla., and Steve Martin, of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
