Rose Ann Owen, born July 11, 1938, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 24, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents Cecil Roy & Velma Olive Downey; two brothers Richard Downey and Tommy Downey; and two sisters Mary Cecilia Downey and Dolly Mae Travis all of Coyle, OK. She leaves behind her husband of 42 years, Henry M. Owen of Guthrie, OK and one sister Dorothy Ruth Mattingly of Coyle.
Rose Ann was born in Coyle where she graduated high school in 1956. She later moved to California to pursue a career in bank finance. Upon return to Oklahoma in the 1970's, Rose Ann moved to Stillwater, OK and worked at Oklahoma State Bank in Mulhall, OK as bank president. Rose and Harry later moved to Elk City, OK where she retained a position as manager of the OSU Extension Bookstore. Upon retirement, she and her husband moved to Cedar Valley Golf Course in Guthrie. She remained in Guthrie until her passing.
Memorial services are pending at this time. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
