The funeral for Neil Milton Overstreet, age 63, of Enid, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Scott Whittenburg and the Rev. Kenneth Wade officiating. Visitation with the family and friends will be Wednesday evening from 5:30-7 p.m. at Anderson Burris Funeral Home.
Neil was born on Nov. 1, 1951, in Enid, Okla., to Milton and Joan (Nehring) Overstreet, and his Heavenly Father called him home on Oct. 19, 2015 with family at his side.
He attended Pleasant Vale Elementary, and Garber Junior High school, and completed his schooling at Enid High School in 1969. On March 14, 1971, he married Jana Sue Decker in Enid.
He worked for his father at the family business, Overstreet Building and Supply, for 17 years. He was employed with Mustang Gas for 25 years, where he retired in May of 2015. Neil was a most generous and loving father and friend, always thinking of others before himself.
Neil is survived by his wife Jana; daughters, Tara Gustin and husband Tom of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Andrea Overstreet; son Nathan Overstreet and wife Nyrene all of Enid; grandchildren Elle and Cy of Colorado and Hailey and Lily of Enid; brothers Kim Overstreet and wife Cheryl, and Reed Overstreet and wife Teresa; and sister Holly Taylor and husband Richard, all of Enid; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife�s parents.
