Barbara Sue Ramsey Overstreet, age 74, wife of Edward Overstreet, loving mother, and Nanny passed away in the early hours of March 15th 2023 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Barbara was born January 14, 1949 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Verda Jo James and Warren Arthur Ramsey. She grew up with a large family including 13 siblings. This influenced generosity and love that lasted her a lifetime. To know Barbara was to love her and she was constantly giving to those around her. She incorporated all of these characteristics into her motherhood. She spoiled all five of her children as much as she possibly could. Barbara Sue never hesitated to help those in need. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandchildren. She was fond of sewing and absolutely adored getting to cook for her family. Most of all she was everyone’s biggest fan. Barbara did not miss a game, show, or event for anyone she loved. Throughout her life she had several different occupations such as: teacher’s aide, school bus driver, custodian, retail but most importantly a caregiver.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 54 years Edward Overstreet; her children, Britton Overstreet of Blanchard Ok, Angela (Donnie) Williams of Newcastle Ok, Tony (Amber) Overstreet of Blanchard Ok, and Brandy Harris of Newcastle Ok; grandchildren, Brittony Anderson, Toy Todd, Trey Johnston, Desirae Finley, Lauren Hamilton, Donnie Williams, Tristen Linville, Cameron Overstreet, Alec Williams, Ragain Beam, Haili Harris, Kash Overstreet, and Zachery Overstreet; 15 great grandchildren; 2 sisters and 1 brother; and numerous cousins and nephews.
