Cecil "Ed" Edward Oswald was born on June 1, 1941 to Cecil and Christina Oswald at their home in Crescent, Oklahoma. He passed away on January 8, 2009 at the age of 67 years.
Ed was raised on the family farm in Crescent, OK. He attended Crescent Schools and graduated in 1959. Ed married Kay Cummings on May 31st, 1963 at the First Methodist Church in Crescent. Ed and Kay had three children, Trace, Tresha, and Teel. Ed's job took them to Oklahoma City, Dallas, and Little Rock and eventually back to Crescent. After Ed and Kay's divorce in 1980 they continued to raise their children in Crescent. In 1986 Ed met Susan May whom he remained married to until his death. Ed enjoyed a life long career as a farmer and later in life as a real estate broker/owner of Ed Oswald Real Estate.
Ed is survived by his wife, Susan Oswald of Crescent, son Trace Oswald and wife Valery of Edmond, OK, daughter Tresha Arrington and husband Tom, granddaughter Taylor and grandson Tucker of Kingfisher, OK, daughter Teel Oswald of Oklahoma City, OK, granddaughter Amanda McGuire and husband Brandon , great- grandson Grey, of Washington, OK, and granddaughter Kaylee Swift of McLoud, OK. His mother Christina Oswald of Crescent, OK, sister Marilyn Allen of Crescent, OK, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father Cecil Oswald, grandparents, Owen and Goldie Oswald, and John and Millie Lambdin.
Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Crescent. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home.
