Wyema "Wy" (Williams) Osborne

Wyema "Wy" (Williams) Osborne
January 26, 1954 ~ August 7, 2018

Wyema Osborne, 64, of Dewey, died Tuesday in Bartlesville.

Wyema, or Wy as she was known, was born the daughter of Leon Dempce "Cotton" and Marjorie Jane (Geren) Williams on January 26, 1954, in Bartlesville. She grew up between Dewey and California, graduating from Dewey High School. In her wilder younger days, Wy managed local pubs and in later years loved being a grandmother. She was the best mom ever to her children and everyone else's children. When the kids were younger she loved spending precious time with them outdoors and riding four wheelers. In recent years she was Nanny Wy to her grandchildren, oftentimes making surprise visits to her many grandkids and showering them with love and treats. For the past few years she worked as a hospice caregiver and cherished the relationships built with her co-workers and patients.

Wy's passions in life centered around her love for reading and her hatred of football. She never allowed the watching of games in her front room. Even though she put on a fierce front when dishing out tough love, her tender heart always showed through and she was always there with a helping hand. Most of all she loved her family and each and every one of her grandkids dearly. She will be missed by them and the many lives she touched over the years.

Wy is survived by her children, Tony Osborne and Jennifer of Dewey, and Amber Osborne of Bartlesville; three brothers, David Williams and Barbara of Dewey, Demcey Williams of Bartlesville, and Dennis Ray Williams of Bowering, OK; nine grandchildren, Madyson, Zane, Lathe, Trinity, Alexis, Harper, Noah, Emily and Daniel; and one special niece/daughter Anna Cross. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Dan Williams and sister Kay Cross.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12-8 and Friday 9-12 at Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel, 918-534-3030, 113 S. Osage (Hwy. 75), Dewey, OK. Y's family will receive friends at the same location Thursday, August 9, from 6-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, August 10, at the Dewey First Baptist Church, with Pastor Mark Wright officiating. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel.
