Tammy Kay Osborne, 60, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. She was born on May 15, 1964, in Merced, California, to Earl Wayne and Norma (Ingham) Young.
As the daughter of a United States Air Force serviceman, Tammy experienced a unique upbringing, spending much of her youth in both England and the United States. She was a proud military brat. She had a blended English and American education, graduating from Portales High School in New Mexico with the Class of 1982.
Tammy was blessed with four children: Kimberly Raylene Ritchie and Will Ray Ritchie, Jr., from her marriage to Will Ray Ritchie, Sr., and Alexander Osborne and Blaire Sage from her marriage to Emanuel Osborne.
A dedicated caregiver and provider, Tammy worked to support her family, often overcoming life’s challenges with resilience and strength. One of her proudest achievements was her more than 20 years of sobriety, a testament to her perseverance and determination to build a better life. She was living proof that redemption and transformation were possible.
Tammy found joy in simple pleasures—reading, watching TV, and doting on her beloved dog, Princess. A homebody at heart, she cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a deep love for butterflies and a fondness for the color purple, both of which reflected her spirit—vibrant, beautiful, and strong. She will be remembered for her intelligence, independence, and the warmth of her nurturing soul.
Tammy is survived by her four children: Kimberly Ritchie and Terrence Sheley of Kansas City, Missouri; Will Ray Ritchie, Jr. of Wagoner, Oklahoma; Alexander Osborne of Wagoner, Oklahoma; and Blaire Sage of Sachse, Texas; as well as six grandchildren, including Amora Ritchie and Rene Sheley. She also leaves behind her brother, Mario Young of Wagoner, Oklahoma, along with numerous other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A celebration of Tammy’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Locust Grove Funeral Home.
