Michael Glenn Orso, 45, of Wanette, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at his home.
Michael Glenn Orso was born on December 6th, 1974 in Oklahoma City to Frank and Sandra Kay Orso. He has two brothers, Frank Henry Orso Jr., and Randle Keith Carr.
Graduated in 1994 from Wanette High School. Mike loves the game of and excelled at baseball. His favorite team was the Cleveland Indians. He also played basketball in high school. He was involved in Ag and took classes at the Vo-Tech.
Mike was married to his first love Gina Dianne Orso on March 6, 1998. He was a proud stepparent to her two children Nathan and Shelby, and on May 31, 1999 they welcomed their beautiful son Brayden Frank.
Mike was an excellent diesel mechanic and later became a supervisor and interim fleet manager at Embark, the OKC public transportation agency. Mike was liked and respected by his coworkers for his, sometimes tough, but fair dealing.
On January 3, 2003 Mike married his forever love ReAnna Orso. They have happily shared their lives together with their son Brayden for 17 years.
Mike was most passionate about hunting whitetail deer. At a young age he was taught to hunt by his Dad and Uncle and it was a tradition shared by many family and friends over the years. He passed on his love of hunting to ReAnna and Brayden and taught them everything he knew.
For several seasons, Mike coached a boy’s baseball team in Little Axe and very much enjoyed being with the kids and sharing his knowledge and love of the game. He made a tremendous impact on some of those young men.
When Brayden joined 4-H and later FFA, Mike immersed himself and grew fond of learning about and assisting Brayden with his show pig projects. He built a barn for Brayden’s pigs and began to breed, raise and sell his own. Relationships were formed with many Ag students, families and instructors and they have long been considered an extension of our own family.
Mike had a special relationship with and deeply respected his father-in-law David. Mike looked forward to and enjoyed his time helping him on the farms as often as possible, and especially their ornery ways and hilarious nicknames for one another. Mike was dubbed “puddin’ lips” and several other funny terms were shared between the two of them.
Mike is preceded in death by his first sweetheart, loving wife and mother to his son, Gina Dianne Orso; his precious stepson Jacob Riley Mullendore; his grandparents and various other family members.
