Leslie "Les" O'Neal was born May 9, 1947 in Duncan, Oklahoma and passed away October 27, 2018 at his home in Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 18 days.
Leslie grew up in the Duncan, Oklahoma area where he graduated from high school. Being the son of a man that worked in the oil field, he accompanied his father traveling to many locations. Through following his father he found his passion in the oil industry and eventually worked his way up to the status of pumper. In 2008 Leslie began working for Rutherford Pumping Services where he met and found a life-long friend in David Rutherford. He enjoyed gardening, watching homesteading YouTube videos, fishing, shooting and spending time with his church family.
He is preceded in death by his parents and the rest of his family.
He is survived by a host of friends that considered Leslie as their own family.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Elk City. Arrangements are under the direction of Whinery Funeral Service.
