Agnes Sue "Aggie" (Hoech) Olivier

Agnes Sue "Aggie" (Hoech) Olivier
October 20, 1941 ~ August 15, 2016

Olivier, Aggie, 74, passed away August 15, 2016 in Bartlesville, OK. Born Agnes Sue Hoech in Little Rock, Arkansas on October 20, 1941 to parents Ben and Princess Thelia (King) Hoech. Aggie attended Little Rock schools and earned her Bachelors in Liberal Arts from Hendrix College. Aggie moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1963 to teach Junior High. It was there that she met John Olivier, and the couple were wed on August 13, 1966 at Christ the King Catholic Church. John joined the Air Force shortly after their marriage. Following John's completion of Officer's Training School, they moved to Smyrna, Tennessee. Aggie returned to Little Rock to teach while John was on an overseas assignment with the Air Force. Upon John's return to the states they resided in California for four years. After John's service to his country, John and Aggie moved to Norman, Oklahoma where he attended Law School. The couple then moved to Bartlesville in 1973, where they put down roots and raised their family.

Aggie enjoyed staying busy and had many hobbies and interests. She enjoyed playing tennis, volunteering at the Price Tower and was President of the Service League in Bartlesville. Aggie was also very involved with her son's school activities; she enjoyed being active in the PTA and the Bruin Booster Club, and was always there to encourage her children and be their number 1 fan. In 1980 they moved to Brussels, Belgium, where they lived for 18months before returning again to Bartlesville. In 2001, John retired and they began spending a good portion of their time in Fort Lauderdale.

Aggie is survived by her husband John, having just celebrated 50 years of marriage. Other survivors include her two sons, John Olivier, Jr. and his wife Amy of Portland, Oregon, and Jeff Olivier, also of Portland, Oregon; two grandchildren, Macy and Trey Olivier of Portland, Oregon; and many other relatives and close friends. She will be greatly and deeply missed.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, August 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Before the Latin Gate Catholic Church in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Memorial contributions are requested to the Bartlesville Boys and Girls Club.

Cremation services are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory. Friends who wish, may sign the online guestbook and leave condolences at www.stumpff.org
