There will be no services for James Lee "Jim" Oliver. Arrangements were by Hayes Funeral Home, Guthrie, OK.
He was born on July 1, 1939 in Ada Oklahoma to Eual and Ara (Powell) Oliver and passed away on March 6, 2013 in Guthrie, Oklahoma at the age of 73.
Jim was a graduate of Capitol Hill High School, a Veteran of the United States Air Force and A former Firefighter for the City of Oklahoma City retiring in 1988. He was also a member of the Church of God in Wellston, Shriners, Oklahoma Firefighters Assoc and a member of the International Assoc. Of Firefighters.
Surviving him are his two daughters, Candace Smith and husband Bob of Springfield, MO and Kimberley Williamson of Ash Grove, MO. Four grandchildren, Amber Elizabeth Williamson, Cody Mark Williamson, Caitlyn Brianna Smith and Meagan Hayley Smith. A brother in law, Paul Benson of Oklahoma City. His nephews and nieces, Cletus Scrivner and wife Denise, Mac Scrivner and Paulette, of Oklahoma City, Wendell Scrivner and wife Shirley of Guthrie and Betty Smith and husband Kenneth of Bethany.
Preceding him in death were his brothers Elmo and Newell and sisters Otella and Joletta and niece Evelyn Smith.
Special thanks to his niece and nephew, Wendell and Betty for all the help and kindness these last few years.
Memorials were made to the Brent Hatcher Benevolent Fund, 2716 NE 50th St. Oklahoma City, OK 73111.
