Carl David Oldridge

Carl David Oldridge
March 16, 1961 ~ August 30, 2022

Carl David Oldridge of Enid, Oklahoma, age 61, died suddenly, late afternoon, on August 30, 2022, in a Semi-Truck Accident in Kansas. He was a loving and much-loved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Brother to his family.

Carl David was born on March 16, 1961, in St. Joe, Missouri, to Charles Lee Oldridge and Laura Louise Prudden.

His smiling face, joking manner, and love for all babies and children was well known. Carl also loved fishing, truck driving, the outdoors, Country and Christian Music, sharing time with his lucky wife, rain storms, taking pictures and videos, sending romantic notes and roses to his wife, whistling and mimicking the sounds he heard in the world. He had a huge heart that the Lord has taken home to him now.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Judi Harris Oldridge; his daughter, Bridgette K. Oldridge (Mike Helvey); his stepdaughter, Devon Myers (Ben); his stepsons, Bram Reeves and Jarom Reeves (Trina); brothers, Doc Ronald Pierce, Anthony Pierce, and Darren Oldridge; and one sister, Robin Oldridge. Grandchildren who loved him also were Sophie and Averie Helvey, Zakiah Reeves and Sean Reeves (Frida Mann), and Abigail and Emma Reeves. Numerous Nieces and Nephews and their children also loved visits from Uncle Carl.

Carl suffered a lot of pain, both physical and emotional, in his life but brought a lot of joy to many people. He would stop to help stranded motorists, folks stuck in the mud, someone needing a hand loading something, or even to just say hi when someone looked down and out. He never forgot to take food or drinks to them and quite often gave away warm clothes, coats and gloves, as he remembered a childhood when those things were not taken for granted.

There will be an empty seat at the table at his home here in Enid, and hearts will go to their beds sore for many nights. God Bless You and Keep You in his Arms, Always, Carl David ... as your favorite song says, "til I see you again, I'll Be Loving You, Love, ... Me!" Celebration of life services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2022, in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel. Services are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service. Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
