Clara Mae Oldmen died October 30, 2016 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years 1 month 26 days. Services are scheduled for a later date.

Clara was born September 4, 1935 in Dimmitt, Texas to Dalton and Oneda (Burns) Layman. She was raised in Levelland, Texas graduating in 1955. Clara worked for Texas Instruments for many years as a Supervisor over the circuit board assembly. She loved flower gardening and being outdoors. Clara had a green thumb and could grow anything. She also enjoyed cooking, crafts, and holiday decorating, as well as spending time with family and friends.

Clara is preceded in death by her parents, Dalton and Oneda Layman; a daughter, Rhonda; and her twin brother, William.

Survivors include her sons, Derek Gillespie of Lexington, Ronnie Gillespie of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter, Diana Centofanti of Texas; sister, Doneita Russell of Elk City, Oklahoma; brothers, Edgar Layman of Ohio and Lawrence Layman of Texas; grandchildren, Ryan, Timmy, Elvira, Rebecca, Isidoro, Margaret, Bianca, Lukas and Natalie; 12 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
