Shelby E. Odell, 78, passed away at home surrounded by his family on November 22, 2017, in Denver, CO. Shelby will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Bonnie, daughters Autumn (Mike) Holmes and Summer Kidder, as well as his 3 granddaughters, Lauren, Corey and Carly.
Born in Ames, OK, to Oscar and Birdene Odell on August 18th, 1939, he attended Enid Business College, earning an associate's degree in accounting. Shelby began his career at Phillips Petroleum before joining Koch Industries, where he retired in 2000 as President of Koch Hydrocarbon and Senior Vice President of Koch Industries. Shelby served on the board of Hiland Partners and ONEOK Partners.
After his family, Shelby loved his work and making a deal for his treasured Koch Industries family. His generous and kind soul will be missed by many.
Shelby requested no service be held and instead for everyone to spend quality time with their families.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care of the Rockies, 6851 S. Holly Circle, Centennial, CO 80112.
