Memorial services for Brenda Renee O’Dell, 66, of Tulsa, OK, were held Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Will Rogers Church in Tulsa, OK. Pastor Greg Lynn officiated.
Brenda was born on December 14, 1958, in Tulsa, OK, to Charles Wayne Ray and Vernell Aline Wortham. She passed away April 25, 2025, in Tulsa, OK.
Brenda had a deep love for animals and flowers. She never met an animal she didn’t adore and often reminded family to give extra love to their pets on her behalf. Her beloved dog Buddy held a special place in her heart. Brenda also had a passion for flowers and found joy in growing them and surrounding herself with their beauty. She attended church at Will Rogers United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed the fellowship and meals that the church provided. Brenda never forgot a birthday or holiday. You could expect a call from Brenda on those special occasions. Brenda was a very loving person with a huge heart.
She is survived by her daughter, Hannah O’Dell, of Tulsa, stepsons, Sean O’Dell and wife, Machelle of Coweta, and Micah O’Dell and wife, Carla of Lovettsville, VA; granddaughter, Payton Postema; sister, Sandy Hawkins of Tulsa; many nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ricky Nail: second husband, Dana O’Dell; parents, Charles Ray and Vernell “Aline” Wortham; sister, Cynthia Dover; brother, Robert Ray; and brother-in-law, George Hawkins.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
