Alice Anna (Millikin) O'Connor

Alice Anna (Millikin) O'Connor
August 9, 1928 ~ May 15, 2022

Alice Anna Millikin was born in Salina, KS, to Roy and Anna Millikin on August 9, 1928. She was 93 years old when she died.

Her elementary education was in Burkburnett, TX. She attended Texas State College for Women in Denton, TX, attaining a degree in Education. Before she married her life-long husband, James A. O'Connor, she taught grade school in Burkburnett. She had a beautiful singing voice and, for a time, she was a featured singer at the Burkburnett Methodist Church.

Alice met Jim when he was stationed at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, TX. Their marriage was blessed by the births of their 4 children: Jim, Richard, Gary, and Jennifer. From these 4 came Alice and Jim's grandchildren: Keene, Marissa, and Kellum from Jim and Viki, Elliott and Emory from Richard and Connie, Shaye, Anna, Kaitlin, and Hayes from Gary and Sonia, and Connor from Jennifer and Carl Olsen. A great-grandchild, Kavanaugh, born to Keene and Brooke, is the most recent addition to Alice's loving family, but, through Gary and Sonia, she has other "adopted" grandchildren and great-grandchildren spanning all the way to the continent of Africa!

At the end of her life Alice's body was "on empty", but her life's cup was full. Thank you for everything mom, and especially the watercolor paintings you left behind. Like you, they are special!

A funeral service will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on 2022-05-25 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 7000 35th Avenue Southwest, Seattle, WA, USA.
