Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2004, in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., for Clarence Pat OBrien, 88, of Bakersfield, who passed away November 22, 2004, at his home. Pastor Milt Cole will officiate.
Pat was born in Collinsville, Oklahoma on April 30, 1916. He came to California in 1928. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force, where he served for four years. Pat had been an operating engineer having retired from Shell Oil Company after 33 years of service. In his retirement, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gold panning, silver smithing, camping, travel, HAM radio and playing his guitar. He was a member of the Fruitvale Commuity Church.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 26 years, Evelyn. Pat also leaves one daughter, Marilyn Hollar Pelham and family; two stepsons, Blake OBrien and family, and Jack LeViner and family; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ron, Rick and Robert Hollar, Chuck and Craig OBrien and Don Banks. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 9:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Mortuary.
