Rodney Mark Nusz

Rodney Mark Nusz
April 7, 1958 ~ September 16, 2019

Born: 4/7/1958 Okeene, OK

Parents: Virgil Nusz (deceased 12/04) Irene Nusz

Family: Sister - Sarah Till and husband Doug from Denver, CO and their children Toby Till and Suzanne Jewett and their families, Brother- Randy Nusz and wife Georganna from Haviland, KS and their Children, R.J. Nusz, Tiffany Riley, Lindsay Min, Macklin Nusz and their families.

Rod has a large group of Aunts and Uncles and Cousins that have been a very special part of his life. These people were all so very special to him and made him smile. He loved the visits.

Rod had special “angel” people who touched him throughout the years-from his work, his residences, his football games at Okeene.

Rod resided at home in Okeene until age 18. He worked for the Coop and really liked that. Then he moved to Enid State School and in 2 years he moved to Center of Family of Love, Okarche, OK, for over 25 years. This was his secure place where he felt loved and appreciated. He loved working with the cleaning people and felt his job was important.

Rod moved to El Reno Acute care in January 2018. He had an injury in July, 2018, and had been confined to his bed and wheel chair thereafter.

Rod loved to sing and go to church. He sang in the Mennonite Brethern Church choir in Okeene and in Okarche. He loved going to Sunday School. He liked to play board games and was good at it! Above all, he loved Jesus. And he loved his family. He played his CDs’s a lot and would sing with them.

We will miss his smile and his little jokes and his hugs.

A celebration of Rod’s life will be held on Sunday, 9/22/19 from 2-4pm at St. Katherine’s Assisted Living in El Reno. Everyone is invited to attend.

We request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Center of Family Love, 635 W Texas, Okarche, OK. 73762 please designate it to be used for special events for the clients. These outings were very special for Rod.
