Memorial services for James Ray Nunley, 60, of Fairview will be held at 2 pm, August 15, 2020 at the Longdale Pavilion. James was cremated per his request. Cremation arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.

James Ray Nunley was born in Wynnewood, Oklahoma on March 5, 1960 to Billy “Pete” Ray and Bonita Sue (Watson) Nunley and on Sunday July 26, 2020, he went home to be with his heavenly father.

James grew up in the Wynnewood and Lindsay area and attended public school at Lindsay. After completing his education, he went to work for several years in the Broomcorn field in southern Oklahoma. James got the opportunity to leave the Broomcorn field and went to work in the Oil and Gas industry. For most of his life worked in the oil field and held many different position. His job also took him to many different places but led him to Fairview. Finally 14 years ago he went to work for Ewald Brothers Tire Company and a service tech where he work at the time of his death.

James married Marie Green on April 28th of 1982 in El Reno , Oklahoma. The couple was blessed with two children, their son Jeff and their daughter Kattrina. James loved going fishing and spending as much time as possible on the lake with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather that will be truly missed.

James is survived by his wife Marie, son Jeff Nunley and daughter Kattrina Nunley all of Fairview, his mother Bonita Sue Wood, two brothers David Nunley and Robert Stanley, two sisters, Sondra Gayle Sillivan and Junetta Rolen, and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, his sister Glenda, and Brother Donald.
