Mark A. "Tonto" Norvell

Mark A. "Tonto" Norvell, retired oilfield worker and jack of all trades, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2011, in Tulsa, OK at the age of 54 years.

The son of Clifford William Norvell and Evangeline Griego Norvell, Mark was born on Sept. 16, 1956 in Oklahoma City, and was raised and educated in that area.

He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Norvell of Cushing; his children, Jason Swoboda and his wife Katherine of Norman, Krystal Ernce and her husband Karey Jones of Stillwater, Christi Delano of Ponca City, Johnnie Fortney and his wife Becke of Drumright, Tony Norvell of Hominy, Wendy Sellers and her husband Michael of Oregon, Josh Norvell and his wife Jammie of Cushing and Rachael Norvell of Cushing; his father, Clifford Norvell of Ponca City; one brother Robert Norvell and his wife Janice of Ponca City; three sisters, Stella Evans and her husband Jerry of Moore, Dona Norvell of Ponca City and Venida Mosier and her husband Herschell of Shawnee; 21 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Evangeline Norvell; one son, Preston Norvell; one grandchild, Cameron Delano; his brother, Joe Norvell and his sister, Carolyn Sue Norvell.

Services will be held Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 10 A.M. in the Oak Grove Baptist Church with Sonny Johnson, officiating.
