Lilly Belle (Kilburn) Norton

Lilly Belle (Kilburn) Norton
September 28, 1921 ~ July 31, 2019 (age 97)

Lilly Belle Norton, 97, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019. She was born September 28, 1921, in Bald Knob, Arkansas, to the late Virgil and Lilly Fern Kilburn. Raised in Arkansas, it was there that she met the love of her life, Everett Lee Norton, and the two were married on October 31, 1941. The couple moved to Oklahoma shortly thereafter. Lilly lived with Lee’s parents while he served in World War II. After being reunited, they eventually made Norman, Oklahoma, home for over 50 years.

Lilly devoted her life to being a homemaker and took great pride in caring for her beloved husband and their home. The two spent much time fishing together, and Lilly enjoyed going for walks, gardening and working in her yard. She loved the Lord, going to church, and read her Bible faithfully every day.

Her husband, Everett Lee Norton, preceded her in death on August 13, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Glenn and John Richard; three sisters, Louise, Mary and Rose; and two infant siblings.

Survivors include one sister, Jo; two nieces, Joyce and Sue; and many other extended family members and special friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman with Rev. Don Gibson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mission Hospice, 8241 S. Walker Ave, Ste. 152, Oklahoma City, OK 73139.
