Kenneth Doil Norton, a resident of Cartwright, Oklahoma left this life in Denison, Texas on Thursday December 21, 2017 at the age of 56. He was born in Denison, Texas on April 21, 1961 to Lilard Doil and Wynona (Lawrence) Norton. Kenneth married his beloved Susan Philagios in Colbert, Oklahoma on July 8, 2008.
Kenneth was a member of the Baptist Faith. He worked for the Calera Schools as their janitor, and bus driver. Kenneth loved the quiet solitude of fishing, working on old cars and going to the Choctaw Casino.
Mr. Norton is survived by his wife, Susan of the home; sister, Betty Norton of the home; nieces, Lisa Norton and husband Nolan Hobbs III of Durant, Oklahoma, and Quida Norton of the home; nephews, Bobby and Alex Norton of the home; step-children, Tamara Curtis and husband Mike of Sherman, Oklahoma, Teresa Roberts of Denison, Texas, and Crystal White and husband Shawn of Sherman, Texas; great-niece, Emily DaVault of Caddo, Oklahoma; great-nephews, Christopher Guhl of Caddo, Oklahoma, David Norton of Caddo, Oklahoma, and Joshua DaVault of Caddo, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren; he is also survived by his father, Lilard Norton of Colbert, Oklahoma. Mr. Norton was preceded in death by his mother, Wynona Norton; grandparents; daughter, Connie Louise Norton; great-nephew; and brother, Bobby Dail Norton
A family hour will be from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM on Wednesday December 27th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. The memorial service will begin at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Bro. Anthony Williams officiating.
