Memorial services for Jerry Wayne Norton, 54, of Thackerville, OK are set for 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2022, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Murray McMurray officiating and Nicki Irvin and Johnny Norton assisting. Arrangements are under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Marietta.
Jerry was born September 2, 1967, in Dallas, TX, the son of Dixie Lee (Martinez) and Lewis Norton. He passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at his residence.
Jerry grew up and attended school in Marietta. From an early age, he enjoyed building things. Jerry had a passion for building and remodeling houses. He went to work for Restore Masters in Ardmore, OK and eventually became a Master Carpenter. Jerry has lived and worked all over the country relocating as needed for his career with Restore Masters. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed getting some wind therapy while riding his Harley. Jerry was known as a hardworking man who had a big heart and never met a stranger. He loved visiting with people, especially his family and friends.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Johnny Norton and special friend Desiree of Wilson, OK; daughters, Nicki Irvin and husband Matt of Ardmore, Ricki Norton of Santa Fe, NM, and Laci Norton of Texas; father, Lewis Norton of Wynnewood, OK; aunt and uncle, Harry and Linda Gillemwater of Euless, TX; and grandchildren, Michelle Irvin, Memphis Jackson, Maverick Irvin, Rebel Norton, Rage Norton, Raiden Norton, Abby, Justice, Justin, Brendan Thompson, Bailey Norton, Maci Norton, and J.D.
Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Dixie Norton; grandson, Boston Jackson; and great-granddaughter, Elma Blots.
Honorary bearers are J.D. Shivers, Carlie Shivers, Johnny Oliphant, Johnny Norton, Matt Irvin, and Joe Rios.
