Donald Dale Norris, 75, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022 in Shawnee.
He was born January 4, 1947 to Roy and Minnie Norris in Clinton, Oklahoma.
Donald was raised in Hinton and Oklahoma City. He graduated with the class of 1965 from Northwestern Classen High School in Oklahoma City. Donald has been a resident of Shawnee for the last 30 years.
He married Geneva Wood on October 17, 2008 in Branson, Missouri.
Donald proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged.
He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Oklahoma City. After retirement he managed the facilities at Firelake Casino in Shawnee.
Donald enjoyed hunting, guns, fishing, being outdoors and going to Laughlin, Nevada.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 sisters; and 3 brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva Norris of the home; 4 sons, Michael Keith and Brooke Norris of Chicago, IL, Eric and Anna Rose of New York City, NY, Michael Shawn France of Shawnee, OK and Edward Paul and Tammy Wood of Johnson, OK; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
No Formal Services will be held at this time. Cremation arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh. There will be no viewing.
