Joshua Phillip Norrid passed from this life on March 25, 2023, at the age of 42, in Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Josh was born on August 15, 1980, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Phillip Wayne and Denise Elaine (Davis) Norrid. Josh grew up and began his education in Cleveland, graduating from Cleveland High School with the Class of 1999. Josh was very active in football, track, basketball, and baseball during school. Josh was the Tulsa 7 conference offensive player of the year his senior year, ending his senior year with a 695 batting average. Following high school, Josh worked at American Airlines and Keystone Equipment for several years and at Davis Pipe Testing. In 2017, Josh began attending Wichita Technical Institute, where he obtained his HVAC Journeyman's License graduating in 2019.

Josh always enjoyed being outdoors. He loved playing softball, being with his kids, and coaching soccer for several years in Cleveland. Josh liked working on stereo systems and listening to music. Going to the lake with his friends and family was always memorable. Josh's kids and family were always the light of his life, spending every moment possible with them. Josh always had OCD regarding his white Nike shoes and always dressed to impress. He always looked forward to and loved going to his mom's for her food. Saturdays were always devoted to cooking breakfast for his kids. Josh was always quick-witted and always brightened up a room with his smile. He was always willing to lend a hand or money to anyone in need to help them out of a jam.

Survivors include Whittnie Ready of the home; seven children, Brant Joshua Norrid, Jayce McCaslin, Josslyn Norrid, Cash Norrid, Lexi Brown, Dylan Brown, Peyton Brown; father Phillip Norrid, mother Denise Norrid; three siblings Rachael Cortes, Kyle Norrid, Michelle Oswalt and a host of other relatives and friends. Josh was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bob and Twyla Norrid, and maternal grandparents, L.A. "Friday" and Betty Davis.

Services will be at 10:30 am, Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the First Baptist Church in Cleveland, Oklahoma, with Pastor Gary Davis officiating. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for Josh at www.chapman-black.com.
