Micah James Nix

Micah James Nix
May 15, 1973 ~ March 1, 2014 (age 40)

Micah James Nix, 40, of Newalla, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014 on Indian Hills Road in Norman.  He was born May 15, 1973 at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City to the late, James Lee Nix and Karen Ann Story-Tipton.  

He was the bass player in the band Chronicles of Mayhem and was a well-known and much loved local musician in Oklahoma City, Norman and throughout Oklahoma.   Micah was a graduate of Little Axe High School.  

Micah is survived by his daughter, Lillian Bella-Jaxson Nix; his sister, Phoebe Wilson; second mother, Sheri Nix and step-father, David Tipton.  Micah is also survived by numerous family members that include his cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, step-brother, step-sister, band mates and many, many friends.  

A memorial service for Micah will begin at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel, 3401 Havenbrook Street in Norman.

Arrangements for Micah and his family were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman. Online condolences may be shared at www.HavenbrookFuneralHome.com.
