ENID, Okla. — A celebration honoring the life of Tommy Clifford Niles will be 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Oakwood Christian Church, Enid, Okla. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Cliff, the son of Tommy and Shirley Niles, spent his childhood in Enid. His family moved to Alva, where he went to high school and later attended NWOSU, majoring in social work and speech.
He met and married his wife, Lintha Krehbiel, before graduating in 1983. The couple moved to Enid, where he became the Garfield County Juvenile officer, becoming an advocate for children and teenagers. They were blessed with three boys, Isaac, Connor and Kieran.
Cliff later became involved with tobacco use prevention and then worked for the State Department of Health as an authority in tobacco marketing to teenagers, a proponent of educating youth about smokeless tobacco, and a speaker/trainer.
He loved people, serving as a youth sponsor and volunteer at church. His humor and joy will be missed greatly by his family, Lintha Niles; Isaac, Katie and Zoe Niles; Connor and Kieran Niles; Tom and Jolene Niles; Rick Niles and family; Pam Bolin and family, as well as extended family members.
A memorial college fund has been established for the benefit of Kieran Niles at Liberty Federal Savings Bank, attn: Pat Cummings, P.O. Box 1028, Enid, OK 73702.
