Audrey (Bentz) Newton
June 29, 1939 ~ July 27, 2014

ENID, OK - Memorial service for Audrey Newton, 75, of Enid, Okla., will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Kenneth Wade officiating.

Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

Audrey was born to Rudolph and Velma (Meissner) Bentz on June 29, 1939, in Enid, and passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014, in Enid.

Audrey attended school in Houston, Texas.

On Sept. 10, 1954, she married Robert T. Newton in Houston.

They made their home in Enid after his military service. She worked as a nurse aide at Bass Hospital.

Audrey was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Audrey is survived by her children, Rob and Teena Newton of Tulsa, Ron Newton of Enid, Nina Newton of Enid, and John and Tammy Newton of Woodward; four grandchildren, Kara Regier, Bryan Newton, Ashley Wells and Alanis Newton; one great-grandchild, Emma Wells; two sisters, LaDonna Martin of Lancaster, Va., and Linda McMahon of Enid; and one brother, Robert Bentz of Warren, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and one sister, Carolyn Henley.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
