Doyle Wayne Newman was born April 2, 1943 in Shafter, California to Lloyd Weldon and Jessie Elizabeth (Bruner) Newman. He completed his earthly journey at home in Marlow, Oklahoma on Saturday, May 22, 2021, with his family at his side. He was 78.
A private family service is being planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center, Duncan.
Doyle graduated from high school in Oxnard, California. He was a carpenter by trade and had done home and rental repair carpentry work most of his life. He had also owned a grocery store for a short time while he lived in Illinois. He enjoyed fishing, watching western movies, and going on summer vacations. He also loved and raised horses. Doyle loved his family deeply and was always a part of their activities.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd W. Newman and Jessie E. Newman; brother, William Newman; sister, Carol Morrison; and seven aunts and uncles.
Doyle is survived by his wife, Marjorie Kathrine (Hardy) Newman; children: Wayne and Mary Newman and Robert and Delisa Newman, all of Marlow; ten grandchildren: Delicia Wheeler, JR Newman, Breanna Jones, Natalie Gomez, Alexia Newman, Devlin Newman, Jessica Robinson, Emily Robinson, Clayton Robinson, Derrick McAdams; and seven great grandchildren: Colton Wheeler, Kahler Gomez, Macie Gomez, Taylor Norton, Kali Jones, Lane Jones, and Briley Newman.
