Karl B. Ness Jr., 82, died Tuesday December 19, 2017. Karl was born on October 8, 1935 to Karl Ness and Bertha Ness in Caney Kansas. Karl was the fifth of six boys. He grew up in Dewey, Oklahoma and graduated from Dewey High School on May 21, 1953. He attended college at Oklahoma A&M and graduated with a degree in chemistry in 1957. His first job out of college was working as a chemist for Phillips 66 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Later he worked for Kerr-McGee Corporation in the chemical division in long term planning for about 20 years before retiring.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years Kathryn Ness of Rio Rancho, NM; one daughter Letitia Brady of Norman, Oklahoma; one son Karl Ness III of Rio Rancho, NM; four grandchildren Aurora Ness, Jeremy Ness, Kelsey Ness and Max Brady; two adopted grandsons Tony & Brandon Miller; two brothers Earl Ness of Dewey, Oklahoma and Paul Ness of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, December 26, 2017.
