A Celebration of Life for Sherri Craig Nelson, age 59, of Enid, is 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 26, 2020, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Deacon Tony Crispo officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 25th from 6:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home. Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusua-Evans Funeral Home.
Sherri was born June 13, 1961, in Iola, Kansas, to William and Nancy (Kettle) Morrow, and passed away suddenly and peacefully Tuesday, July 21, 2020, in Enid at St. Mary's Hospital. She moved to Oklahoma at age 13 and graduated from Drummond High School in 1979. She briefly attended Phillips University and later received her cosmetology license.
Sherri loved her clients and felt she was a friend/therapist to them all. Sherri was an avid reader and jewelry maker. When her children were growing up, she enjoyed making their Halloween costumes and clothes for special occasions. She was passionate about collecting antiques and miniatures. She also loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She relished a quiet life with her husband and dogs. She and Matt were one week shy of celebrating their 6th wedding anniversary.
Sherri is preceded in death by her father, William Morrow. She is survived by her husband, Matt Nelson, of Enid; mother, Nancy Morrow-Brummitt and husband Huey, of Enid; daughter, Stephanie Pinkerton and husband Ben, of Broken Arrow, OK; son, Levi Craig and wife Kim, of Houston, TX; son, Travis Craig and wife Taylor, of Enid; five grandchildren, Peyton and Riley Pinkerton; Evelyn, Ollis and Callen Craig; sister, Lori Morrow and Mike Maynard, of Enid; nephew William Morrow; as well as other family and many friends. She is also survived by her two beloved dogs, Roscoe and Dudley.
Memorial Contributions in Sherri's name may be made to Enid SPCA, FurEver Friends or (FOE) Friends of Enid with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
