Russell R. Nelson III, age 55, of Lawton passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017.
Russell was born on June 5, 1962 in Moundsville, West Virginia to Russell Jr. and Ina Nelson. He married Peggy S. Jones on July 7, 1984 and they would spend the next thirty-three wonderful years together. Russell worked various jobs before opening Russell's Donut Shop in Lawton in 1998. He owned and operated the donut shop for nineteen years before selling it in June of 2017. He was a daredevil, never afraid to try or do anything. Russell had a big heart and was always trying to help others.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Russell Sr. and Martha Nelson and his mother-in-law, Gerda M. Jones,
Russell is survived by his wife Peggy Nelson of the home; his parents, Russell R. and Ina Nelson Jr.; three sisters, Sandy, Sharon and Ina Mae; two brothers, Keith and Wayne; thirteen nieces and nephews and fourteen great nieces and nephews; four sister-in-law's, Judy Moore and husband Graem, Janie Baker and husband Bill, Shirley Richtmeyer and husband Gary and Carrol Jones, along with numerous other relatives and close friends.
